Conor P. Williams is a fellow at The Century Foundation. He previously worked as a first-grade teacher in Brooklyn. He was also the founding director of New America’s Dual Language Learners National Work Group and a senior researcher in its Education Policy Program. He holds a PhD (and M.A.) in Government from Georgetown University, an M.S. in Teaching from Pace University, and a B.A. in Government and Spanish from Bowdoin College.

His work has been published by the New York Times, Washington Post, Atlantic, Guardian, Daily Beast, Talking Points Memo, Vox, New York Daily News, Center for American Progress, McSweeney’s, Dissent, Commonweal, Ordinary Times, Cleveland Plain Dealer, St. Paul Pioneer Press, Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette, Sarasota Herald-Tribune, Kalamazoo Gazette, and PBS MediaShift.
